I enjoyed reading your interview at MoM! What a great family you have! Your boys are adorable and I love that you don't let the challenges slow you down!
Nice article! I just discovered you via that article. I have a 6-year-old stepson with spastic diplegia cerebral palsy and reading over your blog brings back some memories. I did not meet him or his father until he was 2 and was just then able to stand and take some steps with the aid of a walker. Now he walks and 'runs' and is one heck of a climber, and, if you check out my blog, has finally learned to ride an adaptive bike. Our boy is also very bright, very articulate, but with some vision-related learning challenges that we are working through right now. It sounds like you are doing all the right things and have a great set of boys. Good luck!
Motherhood is about raising and celebrating the child you have, not the child you thought you would have. It's about understanding that he is exactly the person he is supposed to be. And that, if you're lucky, he just might be the teacher who turns you into the person you are supposed to be. ~The Water Giver
The Scoop on Us
If you're new to this blog and would like to know more about us, check out these posts:
I'm a Part-Time Work-at-Home Mom to my twin boys, Daniel and Benjamin. They were born in September 2007 at just 30 weeks and 2 days (that's almost 10 weeks early). After 8 weeks and 1 day, we were finally able to bring them home from the hospital. A week after their first birthday, my sweet boy Ben was diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. This blog is mostly about Ben's accomplishments and challenges but is also about me, my family and anything I feel like sharing. Email me at aboutthesmallstuff at hotmail dot com
Yay!!! Congratulations!!1
